The „Anglik“, a machine originally from the United Kingdom, can be seen and met nearly everywhere in Poland. At least at places with traction lines.

In the 1950s, with ongoing railway electrification, the demand for new machines was rising. Polish industry was, unfortunately, unable to supply enough machines to fulfil the needs, hence the hunt went to other countries. The decision was made soon – PKP purchased the first batch of locomotives from DDR and CSSR. But there was still a demand for machines capable of pulling the trains „pospiesznych“ – express trains and light freight trains.
The choice then went to a British machinery English Electric, who had a rich experience with the production of similar machines. The first locomotive appeared on Polish tracks, namely in Kraków, in the spring of 1962. The whole order of 20 machines was finished in 1965. PKP had purchased not only the machines themselves but also a license for production. Thanks to this step, the production of EU07 series then began in 1965. By the year 1974, there were 240 made in total. Hence, the family of „Anglik“ locomotives has become the most popular and most frequent in Poland.
The EU06-01 machine, from the first British delivery batch, can be still seen as a running item in the Skansen Taboru Kolejowego v Chabówce.

Men’s zip hoodie with two pockets. It is pleasant to the touch and will always make you comfortable and warm thanks to its composition and smooth knit. The hood, pockets and bottom edge of the hoodie are lined with rib knit. This hoodie must not be missing in the closet of any true train enthusiast.
Material: 65% polyester +35% cotton or 50% polyester +50% cotton.
