Baby / children's bodysuit ŽABOTLAM
This iconic train unit has received many nicknames, such as “Panťák, “Žába” and “Emilka”. The first “Žabotlam” units were manufactured in 1964 and their expected service life was around 15 years. The last unit, however, was in operation until 2018 on the regular line between Praha-Libeň and Roztoky (decommissioned five days before a scheduled technical inspection). This train was simply immortal.

And where can you see Žabotlam today? The 451026-9 unit unit was retired and moved to the depository in Chomutov after a respectable run of 54 years. It went there in a great celebration, on its own. Another unit is maintained in Šumperk, from where it comes out for nostalgic train rides.
And what made Žabotlam so unique? For example, simple changing of the direction of travel without shunting, fast acceleration or a low-floor passenger compartment.
In 2018, Žabotlam was definitively replaced by “Ešus” (CityElefant).
Have you ever taken a day off or skipped school just to stand by a track? To be there... just to see it one more time and say goodbye? That’s why it rightfully earned a spot on our T-shirt.
