Men's T-shirt BIG BOY

When the American railroad Union Pacific needed a locomotive that could haul heavy freight trains over the mountain passes of Wyoming and Utah, a colossus named Big Boy was created – the largest and most powerful steam locomotive in the world.

Built in 25 units between 1941 and 1944 by the ALCO factory, it measured over
40 meters, weighed more than 540 tons, and its boiler could develop over 6,000 horsepower. The double articulated 4-8-8-4 wheel arrangement allowed for smooth passage even through sharp curves, while the rumbling of the cylinders and the rhythm of the pistons sounded like the heart of the American West.

The name Big Boy came about spontaneously – simply because no other name would suit this giant.

Today, only one remains in operation – locomotive 4014, commemorating the golden age of steam – a time when the power of iron and fire drove America forward.
